Sri HS Anil Kumar has joined KIOCL ON 25-08-1986 as Graduate Engineer trainee and posted as Operation Shift In- charge of Beneficiation plant. He has worked for 20 years in Iron ore beneficiation plant of KIOCL at Kudremukh till May 2006. He was mainly responsible for achieving production targets in terms of QUALITY AND QUANTITY, Safe operation of equipment, production and productivity.  He was involved in implementation of Quality, Environment and Safety Management systems as per ISO Standards, preparation of safe operating procedures, preventive maintenance for longer life of equipment. He has encouraged to form quality circles  to resolve operational and equipment related issues through team work at shop floor level.

 During May 2006, he moved to Corporate office and posted in Business development dept . He was instrumental in getting operation and maintenance contracts with co PSUs like NMDC, MRPL and OMC, to utilise available manpower of KIOCL due to closure of Mining at Kudremukh in 2005. Under his leadership, KIOCL took up the task of commissioning Pet Coke handling system of MRPL, Mangalore, 1.89 MTPA BENEIFICIATION PLANT AND 1.2 MTPA Pellet Plant of NMDC at Doini malai, Karnataka. Presently, He is involved in commissioning of Chrome ore beneficiation plant of Odisha Mining Corporation, Odisha and forward and Backword integration projects of Blast furnace unit, KIOCL , Mangalore
